What will I see?

Most women don’t see anything. Women can choose not to look at the pad, wrap it and throw it away, or just flush everything down the toilet. During expulsion it is possible that a small white streak will be seen. The woman will expel a gestational sac, which is white and if it can be seen, it looks like a small piece of sponge. From 7 weeks onwards, a small embryo might be visible inside the sac. Depending on the gestational age, the woman will not see any recognizable shape (up to 6.5 weeks) or an embryo up to 2 cm at 9 weeks from the first day of last menstruation. 15
